After having played for 6 minutes, Tormaigh Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloonaghboy Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tormaigh Prunty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barde McSteven during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Trien McTom fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardaghy's protests and gave Trien McTom a yellow card for diving instead. Trien McTom hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boru McWillie in the 11th minute of play forced Ardaghy's goalkeeper Gordan McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boru McWillie scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gordan McPeter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boru McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gordan McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barde McSteven got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 23 minutes into the match, Cloonaghboy Utd's Boru McWillie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gordan McPeter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Ardaghy got a freekick which was hit by Kevis McJohnny. After 27 minutes Ardaghy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cathal Ghee who took care of the corner kick. Cathal Ghee made a great header on Cloonaghboy Utd's corner, it was just that Ardaghy's Gordan McPeter managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 28th minute, one of Ardaghy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ardaghy. Cloonaghboy Utd's Tormaigh Prunty managed to work through Ardaghy's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tormaigh Prunty dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Gordan McPeter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conaill McCollion, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Boland McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Tormaigh Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bow Ferguson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McPeter having to interfere. Gordan McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tormaigh Prunty in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Tormaigh Prunty made the kick off in the second half. Bow Ferguson struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gordan McPeter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloonaghboy Utd. Tormaigh Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McPeter having to interfere. Tormaigh Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cloonaghboy Utd's Bow Ferguson got a free kick in the 64th minute. Ardaghy's Trien McTom got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Trien McTom off the ground. Trien McTom hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Tormaigh Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McPeter having to interfere. Cloonaghboy Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Tormaigh Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gordan McPeter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bow Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ardaghy's Gordan McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tormaigh Prunty in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Tormaigh Prunty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brenna McFrancise was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Cloonaghboy Utd's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tormaigh Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gordan McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brenna McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McPeter having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Ardaghy's goal looked a bit too open when Brogan Lavine came free, but Gordan McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Becc McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
