Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rory Martyn made the kick off and thus started the match. Belclare's Torrey McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tormaigh Prunty in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cloonaghboy Utd's Bow Ferguson got a free kick in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradner Caffrey got free with Branson Dillon in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tormaigh Prunty in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torrey McBrandon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 played minutes Belclare got a freekick which was hit by Blamhac McGlynn. In the 19th match minute, Cloonaghboy Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas McCollion to maneuver through the defense. Bradner Caffreys short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Branson Dillon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Conaill McCollion's late challenge caught a Belclare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conaill McCollion helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cloonaghboy Utd getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Conaill McCollion hit a great ball. Cloonaghboy Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Rory Martyn scored to the left of an out of position Branson Dillon, making the score, 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Bragan John dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Branson Dillon, 2-0. Torrey McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tormaigh Prunty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torrey McBrandon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tormaigh Prunty, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Cloonaghboy Utd getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Brogan Lavine hit a great ball. Branson Dillon made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Don Rutherford sent off a good shot on target. Rory Martyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Branson Dillon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rory Martyn ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Tormaigh Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonaghboy Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Tormaigh Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torrey McBrandon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conaill McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tormaigh Prunty made a kick off. Boru McWillie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torrey McBrandon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Boru McWillies short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Torrey McBrandon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 68 played minutes Belclare got a freekick which was hit by Bragan John. Branson Dillon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Martyn in the 73rd minute of the match. Don Rutherford kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Torrey McBrandon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tormaigh Prunty showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 85 minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Don Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Branson Dillon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradner Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Belclare had won after a very even match.
