After a defensive mix-up in Botinny's zone, Bevan Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex McGlenn came out of the goal and Bevan Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Brannagh McOliver fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botinny's protests and gave Brannagh McOliver a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Botinny's Brannagh McOliver got a free kick in the 12th minute. Babe McTom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bearnard Holt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rowe Glen Crowe in the 22nd minute. After 28 played minutes Botinny got a freekick which was hit by Farrell McLiam. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Botinny's goalkeeper Alex McGlenn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Botinny booed when Ballybane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brakawn McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Ballybane's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley Hughes came free, but Bearnard Holt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Botinny defense, Brakawn McGlenn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex McGlenn. The Botinny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex McGlenn should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Bevan Kirby reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alex McGlenn. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 68th match minute, Ballybane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barra McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Alex McGlenn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bevan Kirby in the 71st minute of the match. If Babe McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bevan Kirby in the 73rd minute of play forced Botinny's goalkeeper Alex McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bevan Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bearnard Holt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rowe Glen Crowe's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. A collision led to Ballybane getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Brakawn McGlenn hit a great ball.
