The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Blathmac McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Hughes in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Brecc Gillmour left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballydrenid Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bradley Hughes to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ballydrenid Utd's Rorry Kirby got a free kick in the 50th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Brecc Gillmour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballydrenid Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brecc Gillmour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Ballydrenid Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ailill McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Buach McPaul's late challenge caught a Botinny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Botinny's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
