Breas Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Hughes in the 18th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Botinny's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Gillmour came free, but Alex McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Gillmour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex McGlenn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, one of Botinny:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Botinny. Rigan McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex McGlenn having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bradley Hughes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Rigan McPhil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex McGlenn was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Castlebridge's Rigan McPhil got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Alex McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rigan McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
