Rylane Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scothine Gallagher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scothine Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmac McCollion having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The Rylane Utd supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ballydrenid Utd's performance. The match ended with a win for Ballydrenid Utd.
