Shey McBrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Begley Brennan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shey McBrand ran back to his position shaking his head. Gortgar's Begley Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shey McBrand in the 12th minute of play. Breannain Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Brin McIan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breannain Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Breannain Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breen Harkin having to interfere. Shey McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Begley Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boleymount Utd's Breen Harkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Boleymount Utd from getting a goal against them. If Shey McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gortgar's Kieran McFrancise got a free kick in the 34th minute. Breck Gallagher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Breen Harkin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Breannain Hunt went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Breen Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breannain Hunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breannain Hunt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breannain Hunt to make the kick off. Gearroid Lavine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Begley Brennan made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Boleymount Utd's zone, Breck Gallagher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breen Harkin came out of the goal and Breck Gallagher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gortgar's Begley Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Gortgar from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breannain Hunt in the 59th minute of play forced Boleymount Utd's goalkeeper Breen Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Boleymount Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Breck Gallagher came free, but Breen Harkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 minutes, Breck Gallagher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortgar and the Boleymount Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Gortgar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breck Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gortgar getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Darby Deery hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Breck Gallagher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Breannain Hunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shey McBrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Begley Brennan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Gortgar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
