With his leg Rylee Rogers managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Scartaglin's Douglas Walker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bree McWill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rylee Rogers having to interfere. If Douglas Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Scartaglin's Dermod McBjarton got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Knockgaffon's Banvan Benson, in the 13th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Knockgaffon. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Scartaglin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Knockgaffon:s goal. Banvan Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Reilly McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Douglas Walker came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Scartaglin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Walker couldn't finish the play. When Quaid McFrank fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knockgaffon's protests and gave Quaid McFrank a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Balor Gollogley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Holt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reilly McLiam. Scartaglin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rorke Morrison in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reilly McLiam saved Scartaglin from getting behind. Banvan Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Reilly McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Banvan Benson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 42 minutes of play, Knockgaffon's Rorke Morrison made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reilly McLiam was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rorke Morrison to make the kick off. Rylee Rogers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Walker in the 52nd minute of the match. Rylee Rogers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Quaid McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Knockgaffon defense, Balor Gollogley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rylee Rogers. The Knockgaffon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rylee Rogers should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Scartaglin's zone, Banvan Benson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reilly McLiam came out of the goal and Banvan Benson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Douglas Walker came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Scartaglin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Walker couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Douglas Walker put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rylee Rogers. Douglas Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rylee Rogers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
