Brefni McNamara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blavock McBjarton in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blavock McBjarton in the 7th minute of play forced Hermitage's goalkeeper Brefni McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Pettigo got a freekick which was hit by Brickeen Coyle. In the 16th minute, George Robinson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cian Byrne was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. George Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cian Byrne having to interfere. If George Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Alan McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermitage's Brefni McNamara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Hermitage from getting a goal against them. In the last second Brefni McNamara throw himself and got hold of the ball when Blavock McBjarton in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Blavock McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rourke Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Briony Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rourke Keegan got in the 43rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cian Byrne handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Cian Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rourke Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Robinson in the 46th minute of play forced Pettigo's goalkeeper Cian Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rourke Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Cian Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rourke Keegan to strike the kick off in the second half. 0-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Rourke Keegan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Briony Lavine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Brefni McNamara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pettigo's Cian Byrne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Pettigo from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Rourke Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermitage's supporters rose to their feet, but Rourke Keegan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cian Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George Robinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Hermitage's Rourke Keegan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cian Byrne. Cian Byrne yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Blavock McBjarton's late challenge caught a Hermitage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blavock McBjarton helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pettigo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Blavock McBjarton hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Hermitage got a freekick which was hit by Art McNamee. Brickeen Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Blavock McBjarton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Brefni McNamara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blavock McBjarton succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
