Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rourke Keegan got the match started through his kick off. Brefni McNamara didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Knockgaffon's Rorke Morrison shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Rylee Rogers was a little too slow when Rourke Keegan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-1. Fintan Hunt kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A hard shot 11 in the game by George Robinson from a close distance when the talented Rylee Rogers managed to make a qualified save. Knockgaffon's players were relieved. Rylee Rogers was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Rourke Keegan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rourke Keegan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Rorke Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brefni McNamara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Banvan Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes Knockgaffon got a freekick which was hit by Rorke Morrison. Rourke Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rylee Rogers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Rourke Keegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rylee Rogers. Knockgaffon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rourke Keegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Rylee Rogers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rourke Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Hermitage's George Robinson got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rorke Morrison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brefni McNamara having to make a save. In the 45thth minute of the game Rorke Morrison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermitage's Brefni McNamara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Knockgaffon's Banvan Benson got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rorke Morrison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Hermitage's Brefni McNamara got control of the ball when Banvan Benson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Knockgaffon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Holt to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th match minute, Knockgaffon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaine Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. Knockgaffon's Rylee Rogers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Robinson in the 65th minute of play. Banvan Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rorke Morrison might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brefni McNamara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rorke Morrison ran back to his position shaking his head. Harvey McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Hermitage's Brefni McNamara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rorke Morrison in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Banvan Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knockgaffon's supporters rose to their feet, but Banvan Benson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brefni McNamara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermitage's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rorke Morrison 88 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-4. Rylee Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rourke Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th match minute, Knockgaffon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quaid McFrank to maneuver through the defense. When George Robinson came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Hermitage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Robinson couldn't finish the play.
