Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) Douglas Walker made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Dermod McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scartaglin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dermod McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Pettigo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Brickeen Coyle hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Scartaglin's Bohannon Duggan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bree McWill in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cian Byrne saved Pettigo from getting behind. Gilbert O'Down hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Blavock McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reilly McLiam having to interfere. Reilly McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blavock McBjarton in the 29th minute of play. Cian Byrne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bree McWill's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Reilly McLiam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan McWilliam in the 34th minute. Douglas Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cian Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bree McWill in the 46th minute of play. Alan McWilliam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Reilly McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blavock McBjarton made a kick off. With his leg Cian Byrne managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Scartaglin's Bree McWill fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cian Byrne was a little too slow when Douglas Walker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-1. With a little luck, Pettigo's Cian Byrne got control of the ball when Bree McWill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blavock McBjarton in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reilly McLiam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute Douglas Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cian Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bree McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cian Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reilly McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blavock McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alan McWilliam came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Pettigo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan McWilliam couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pettigo's zone, Bree McWill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cian Byrne came out of the goal and Bree McWill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cian Byrne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bree McWill went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Douglas Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bree McWill came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cian Byrne could save by the left post. In the 94th minute, Bree McWill reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cian Byrne. The goal made the score 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Scartaglin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pettigo.
