Brefni Ferguson started the match with the kick off. Nolyn Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Annavalla's Devlin McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phelan Johnson in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Annavalla's goal looked a bit too open when Phelan Johnson came free, but Devlin McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phelan Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Liam Barrett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Devlin McGlynn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Annavalla booed when Myrtlegrove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Branigan McPhilip didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riley Willson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Caroll Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27thth minute of the game Riley Willson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Myrtlegrove's Caroll Rutherford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Devlin McGlynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liam Barrett in the 28th minute. Liam Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Devlin McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Myrtlegrove's Harry Barrett got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Brefni Ferguson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Annavalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brefni Ferguson couldn't finish the play. After 37 played minutes Annavalla got a freekick which was hit by Nolyn Johnson. If Phelan Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Brefni Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phelan Johnson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Brefni Ferguson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caroll Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caroll Rutherford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni Ferguson in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Annavalla booed when Myrtlegrove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berry McNamee didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brefni Ferguson came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Annavalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brefni Ferguson couldn't finish the play. Branigan McPhilip hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Annavalla's Bera Hughes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Caroll Rutherford but with some difficulty. Riley Willson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Caroll Rutherford when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Riley Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Riley Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annavalla's supporters rose to their feet, but Riley Willson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caroll Rutherford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Annavalla getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bera Hughes hit a great ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Riley Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Annavalla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riley Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Myrtlegrove getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Branigan McPhilip hit a great ball. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Myrtlegrove! When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Annavalla's Bera Hughes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Caroll Rutherford. 79 minutes into the match, Myrtlegrove's goal looked a bit too open when Brefni Ferguson came free, but Caroll Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phelan Johnson struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Devlin McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Myrtlegrove. Devlin McGlynn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Barrett in the 90th minute of the match. If Riley Willson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tipraite McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Myrtlegrove's Caroll Rutherford got control of the ball when Riley Willson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match Renny Murphy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Devlin McGlynn skillfully saved the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
