Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Britain McNamee kicked off to start the match. Reilly McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Britain McNamee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmac Dempsey having to interfere. The supporters of Killare booed when Scartaglin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dermod McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Scartaglin's Dermod McBjarton got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Douglas Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmac Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reilly McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bras Ramsey in the 24th minute of play. Dermod McBjarton's late challenge caught a Killare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dermod McBjarton helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Scartaglin's Dermod McBjarton got a free kick in the 25th minute. Reilly McLiam was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Britain McNamee capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Britain McNamee really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brannon Crowe got free with Reilly McLiam in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boyd Barrett scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reilly McLiam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dermod McBjarton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. In the 40th match minute, Scartaglin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dermod McBjarton to maneuver through the defense. Brenn Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Scartaglin's goal looked a bit too open when Britain McNamee came free, but Reilly McLiam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, Britain McNamee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Britain McNamee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bard Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reilly McLiam having to interfere. Bard Silke struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Reilly McLiam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killare. 55 minutes into the game, Brenn Ferguson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Killare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scartaglin the free kick. Brenn Ferguson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Bearchan Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Britain McNamee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reilly McLiam was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Reilly McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bras Ramsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reilly McLiam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Britain McNamee's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Britain McNamee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reilly McLiam was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 76th minute Boyd Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reilly McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Killare's Britain McNamee got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Killare's Blathmac Dempsey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Killare from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Britain McNamee in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reilly McLiam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Killare's Bearchan Doyle got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Britain McNamee took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reilly McLiam. Reilly McLiam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Killare's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
