Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rourke Keegan took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 minutes of play, Derrycoosh AFC's Ricard McWill made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brefni McNamara was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Rourke Keegan in the 8th minute of play forced Derrycoosh AFC's goalkeeper Rowley McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tathan Cronin fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derrycoosh AFC's protests and gave Tathan Cronin a yellow card for diving instead. Rowley McWillie made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when George Robinson sent off a good shot on target. When Ricard McWill came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Derrycoosh AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricard McWill couldn't finish the play. Ryleigh McGlynn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ryleigh McGlynn sped through Hermitage's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brefni McNamara. In the 23rd minute Ricard McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brefni McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reidy McTom kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ryleigh McGlynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Brefni McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Tipper Hutton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hermitage's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derrycoosh AFC the free kick. Tipper Hutton hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Ricard McWill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni McNamara having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hermitage defense, Ryleigh McGlynn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brefni McNamara. The Hermitage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brefni McNamara should have stopped the shot. If Rourke Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hermitage booed when Derrycoosh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigan McOliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Derrycoosh AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the match, George Robinson notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Derrycoosh AFC's Rowley McWillie. Rowley McWillie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 54 played minutes Hermitage got a freekick which was hit by Torin Tierney. Brefni McNamara didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Derrycoosh AFC's Ryleigh McGlynn shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. If Rourke Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rowley McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Robinson in the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Derrycoosh AFC's zone, Rourke Keegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowley McWillie came out of the goal and Rourke Keegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Derrycoosh AFC booed when Hermitage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rourke Keegan in the 76th minute of play forced Derrycoosh AFC's goalkeeper Rowley McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Derrycoosh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigan McOliver to maneuver through the defense. Rourke Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowley McWillie having to interfere. Terry McBrandon hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rourke Keegan in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rowley McWillie saved Derrycoosh AFC from getting behind. George Robinson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rowley McWillie having to make a save. Rourke Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rowley McWillie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rowley McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rourke Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryleigh McGlynn in the 94th minute of play forced Hermitage's goalkeeper Brefni McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Derrycoosh AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
