Monavarnoge's Blake Johnson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Monavarnoge from getting a goal against them. If Gerald McDecland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Monavarnoge booed when Scartaglin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balor Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monavarnoge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerald McDecland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Scartaglin's Dermod McBjarton got a free kick in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Tevis Silke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monavarnoge's supporters rose to their feet, but Tevis Silke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reilly McLiam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
