The supporters of Drumbrollisk booed when Prosperous Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donn Keegan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pearse McSteve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy McLian in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Prosperous Utd getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Briony Mulvihill hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Brenden Hunt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pearse McSteve skillfully saved the ball. Pearse McSteve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beglan Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Prosperous Utd's Donal Benson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Breas Colwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bairee McAaron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Prosperous Utd.
