Rownun Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Tate McTom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyshanock's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bunduvowen the free kick. After 47 played minutes Ballyshanock got a freekick which was hit by Tate McTom. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Tate McTom made a precise shot to the right of Rownun Lester. Bunduvowen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Triain Kirby's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Byrne McCready skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee gave Tate McTom a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rownun Lester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremiah McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Triain Kirby who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Byrne McCready when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
