Darick McWillie was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Pawd Rogers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pawd Rogers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Triain Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darick McWillie having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Bunduvowen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berk Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Treno Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Bunduvowen's Braoin McAlphie shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Darick McWillie but with some difficulty. Clonegal's Darick McWillie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawd Rogers in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Clonegal's zone, Triain Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darick McWillie came out of the goal and Triain Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Treno Morrison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clonegal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bunduvowen the free kick. A collision led to Clonegal getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Treno Morrison hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Pawd Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darick McWillie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pawd Rogers to strike the kick off in the second half. Darick McWillie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawd Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darick McWillie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pawd Rogers's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Darick McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Triain Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Treno Morrison was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Brannan McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Breasal Beckett's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Rownun Lester skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Berk Tracy fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bunduvowen's protests and gave Berk Tracy a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bunduvowen's Berk Tracy got a free kick in the 70th minute. Breasal Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rownun Lester having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Bunduvowen got a freekick which was hit by Cormac Beckett. In the 83rd minute Pawd Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darick McWillie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pawd Rogers struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Darick McWillie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bunduvowen. Cormac Beckett charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cormac Beckett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clonegal's Darick McWillie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Triain Kirby in the 91st minute of play. Bunduvowen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
