Leckee FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Breen Callaghan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timmons Silke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin MaCollin kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Timmons Silke came out of the goal and Brefni Deery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brefni Deery might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timmons Silke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brefni Deery ran back to his position shaking his head. Breen Callaghan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmons Silke having to interfere. Brefni Deery was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 29 minutes into the match, Cuilkillew's goalkeeper Timmons Silke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breen Callaghan. After a defensive mix-up in Cuilkillew's zone, Brefni Deery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timmons Silke came out of the goal and Brefni Deery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Kevin MaCollin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breen Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Timmons Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cuilkillew's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leckee FC the free kick. A collision led to Cuilkillew getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gil McTommy hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
