Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teddy McCollion kicked off to start the match. Brakawn Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rannal Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 3 played minutes Attiregan got a freekick which was hit by Rannal McTommy. Basil Deans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Brakawn Byrne made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match, Attiregan's goal looked a bit too open when Enda McCollion came free, but Brakawn Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brakawn Byrne acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Felim Doherty. In the 20th match minute, Spancelhill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gearroid Costello to maneuver through the defense. If Berrin Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Teddy McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Spancelhill's Blanaid Savic got a free kick in the 30th minute. Berrin Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boylan McGlynn having to interfere. The supporters of Spancelhill booed when Attiregan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keely Bayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berrin Quinnless scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boylan McGlynn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Attiregan's Teddy McCollion got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Attiregan were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Brakawn Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basil Deans in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Keely Bayes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Attiregan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keely Bayes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Teddy McCollion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boylan McGlynn was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. With a little luck, Spancelhill's Boylan McGlynn got control of the ball when Berrin Quinnless tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Teddy McCollion came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Attiregan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teddy McCollion couldn't finish the play. Spancelhill's Boylan McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy McCollion in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Teddy McCollion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berrin Quinnless struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Boylan McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attiregan. In the 74th minute of the match, Teddy McCollion tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Boylan McGlynn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendon Grant during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teddy McCollion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teddy McCollion struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Boylan McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attiregan. Boylan McGlynn made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Berrin Quinnless sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Attiregan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Spancelhill throughout the match.
