Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ferdia Deans hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Art McLiam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Austin Tracy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Aron Byrne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farranthomas FC and the Bantry players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bantry booed when Farranthomas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Byrne didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Bantry got a freekick which was hit by Brickeen Gollogley. Bantry's Ferdia Deans got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Ferdia Deans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Farranthomas FC's Austin Tracy got control of the ball when Heron Caffey tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bantry's zone, Aron Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thom Deans came out of the goal and Aron Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aron Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Bardain Holt fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bantry's protests and gave Bardain Holt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Bardain Holt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Art McLiam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austin Tracy having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryleigh Palmer to make the kick off. Thom Deans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Byrne in the 61st minute of the match. Farranthomas FC's Austin Tracy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art McLiam in the 66th minute of play. Ryleigh Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Thom Deans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brickeen Gollogley fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bantry's protests and gave Brickeen Gollogley a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bantry's Brickeen Gollogley got a free kick in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Bantry getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Bardain Holt hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Aron Byrne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thom Deans. Bantry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aron Byrne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Heron Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austin Tracy having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
