Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ryleigh Palmer made the kick off which started today's match. Austin Tracy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heron Hutton in the 6th minute of play. Farranthomas FC's Austin Tracy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geralt McNamee in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Blair Colwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Farranthomas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emly the free kick. Blair Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Timothy McIan was a little too slow when Aron Byrne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Gil McLiam hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Geralt McNamee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emly's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Farranthomas FC the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Emly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geralt McNamee to maneuver through the defense. Timothy McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Byrne in the 30th minute of play. Ryleigh Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Timothy McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austin Tracy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerrigan McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Kerrigan McOliver had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Austin Tracy. Farranthomas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kerrigan McOliver was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Timothy McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Byrne in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heron Hutton made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Emly's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Byrne came free, but Timothy McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breanne Dempsey kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Aron Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Farranthomas FC's Ryleigh Palmer in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Emly's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Ryleigh Palmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timothy McIan was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Aron Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Emly defense, Geary Doyle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timothy McIan. The Emly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timothy McIan should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute, Teddy Dempsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kerrigan McOliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blair Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Timothy McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felim Robinson came free in the 81st minute and tried to tip the ball over Timothy McIan, but to the joy of Emly's supporters the ball went over. Timothy McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ryleigh Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Emly's goalkeeper Timothy McIan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Heron Hutton came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Emly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heron Hutton couldn't finish the play. Emly's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
