With a little luck, Spancelhill's Boylan McGlynn got control of the ball when Kerrigan McOliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Heron Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boylan McGlynn having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heron Hutton in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boylan McGlynn saved Spancelhill from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Emly's goal looked a bit too open when Basil Deans came free, but Timothy McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Emly got a freekick which was hit by Geralt McNamee. If Basil Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timothy McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basil Deans, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With a little luck, Spancelhill's Boylan McGlynn got control of the ball when Kerrigan McOliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Heron Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Enda McCollion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Timothy McIan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Spancelhill's Boylan McGlynn got control of the ball when Kerrigan McOliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Spancelhill's goalkeeper Boylan McGlynn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Basil Deans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Timothy McIan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enda McCollion to strike the kick off in the second half. Timothy McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enda McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Emly booed when Spancelhill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enda McCollion didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th match minute, Emly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carrigan McWill to maneuver through the defense. If Enda McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kerrigan McOliver came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Emly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerrigan McOliver couldn't finish the play. Timothy McIan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enda McCollion showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 69 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enda McCollion in the 73rd minute of play forced Emly's goalkeeper Timothy McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boylan McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heron Hutton in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match Bressail Matthews sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boylan McGlynn skillfully saved the ball. Heron Hutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Boylan McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basil Deans in the 91st minute of play forced Emly's goalkeeper Timothy McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timothy McIan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basil Deans in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Enda McCollion kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Timothy McIan. That made the score 0-4 in the 95 minute of play.
