Teddy Dempsey's late challenge caught a Knockboha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teddy Dempsey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Teddy Dempsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Austin Tracy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bergin Cooney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cathal Barrett was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Knockboha FC booed when Farranthomas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cathal Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Farranthomas FC's zone, Dolan Gallagher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austin Tracy came out of the goal and Dolan Gallagher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Devlin Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beary McWill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Austin Tracy made a huge save. In the 30th minute of the match, Beary McWill got a very nice opportunity to score, but Austin Tracy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 36th match minute, Farranthomas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derin McVictor to maneuver through the defense. Austin Tracy made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Bergin Cooney sent off a good shot on target. Braedon Beckett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Austin Tracy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beary McWill in the 42nd minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Bergin Cooney took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Austin Tracy to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Farranthomas FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Teddy Dempsey hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Knockboha FC's Dolan Gallagher tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

59 minutes into the match, Farranthomas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bergin Cooney came free, but Austin Tracy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Aron Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farranthomas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knockboha FC's Braedon Beckett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Knockboha FC from getting a goal against them. Bairne McPhilip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artuir McStephen charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artuir McStephen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Braedon Beckett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Byrne in the 78th minute of the match. Aron Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braedon Beckett having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Knockboha FC's zone, Aron Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braedon Beckett came out of the goal and Aron Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austin Tracy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beary McWill in the 90th minute of play. If Aron Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Knockboha FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
