Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tipraite Mullan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bairthmead McJohn hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Cashleen's Boynton Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comhghall Bayes in the 8th minute of play. The Cashleen fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Cashleen's Tipraite Mullan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Cashleen booed when Tallanstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comhghall Bayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Tipraite Mullan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tallanstown's Brenan Dunne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Cashleen getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tomás Dempsey hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Comhghall Bayes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Boynton Savic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boynton Savic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comhghall Bayes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Comhghall Bayes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boynton Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Peadair Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Comhghall Bayes to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cashleen's Tipraite Mullan in 51 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Brenan Dunne guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The supporters of Tallanstown booed when Cashleen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shamus McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geary Doherty got free with Boynton Savic in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brenan Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tipraite Mullan in the 66th minute of play. Tipraite Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Brenan Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peadair Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Brenan Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearson McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tallanstown's zone, Tipraite Mullan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenan Dunne came out of the goal and Tipraite Mullan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brenan Dunne came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Cashleen's Tipraite Mullan. But to his dismay, Tipraite Mullan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 81st minute, Tipraite Mullan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brenan Dunne was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Pearson McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenan Dunne having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Cashleen got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Dempsey. After 88 played minutes Comhghall Bayes rounded Cashleen's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Geary Doherty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tallanstown's supporters rose to their feet, but Geary Doherty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boynton Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tipraite Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Brenan Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cashleen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
