Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Shane Caffey took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pearson McAlphie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Payton McNamara having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Maynooth's zone, Pearson McAlphie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Payton McNamara came out of the goal and Pearson McAlphie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tipraite Mullan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Payton McNamara made a huge save. The supporters of Cashleen booed when Maynooth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scot McSteven didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pearson McAlphie in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Payton McNamara saved Maynooth from getting behind. Scot McSteven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Boynton Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scot McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boynton Savic having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tipraite Mullan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Payton McNamara was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Beairtle Holt made a great header on Cashleen's corner, it was just that Maynooth's Payton McNamara managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 31 minutes, Tipraite Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cashleen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tipraite Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Shane Caffey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maynooth's supporters rose to their feet, but Shane Caffey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boynton Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tipraite Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Payton McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boynton Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scot McSteven in the 46th minute of the match. If Tipraite Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tipraite Mullan to make the kick off. Peadair Gillmour took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Payton McNamara. Payton McNamara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tipraite Mullan scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Payton McNamara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Pearson McAlphie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cashleen's Boynton Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Caffey in the 66th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cashleen defense, Shane Caffey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boynton Savic. The Cashleen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boynton Savic should have stopped the shot. Pearson McAlphie scored 3-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Payton McNamara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Payton McNamara came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Cashleen's Tipraite Mullan. But to his dismay, Tipraite Mullan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Payton McNamara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tipraite Mullan's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Tipraite Mullan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Payton McNamara was relentless in the 87th minute of the game.
