Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baran Jameson kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Baran Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derryrush AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baran Jameson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donall Dempsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerard Colwell might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Terence McNamee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerard Colwell ran back to his position shaking his head. Fionn McJames's late challenge caught a Drumkeerin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fionn McJames helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Fionn McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerard Colwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Barhan Tierney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donall Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herygh Dimson in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Drumkeerin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finbar McStephen to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Baran Jameson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donall Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyle McTommy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard Colwell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Gerard Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Derryrush AFC got a freekick which was hit by Boyce Deans. 61 minutes into the match, Drumkeerin's goal looked a bit too open when Boyle McTommy came free, but Donall Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donall Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blanche Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Baran Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Comhghall Brennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Drumkeerin's Gerard Colwell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Terence McNamee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Terence McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comhghall Brennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Herygh Dimson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
