Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Drumkeerin's Gerard Colwell in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballydivin's goalie prevented a goal. Donall Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bard McFrancise in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Ballydivin got a freekick which was hit by Art Silke. Comhghall Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Donall Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donall Dempsey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Comhghall Dillon went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Comhghall Dillon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donall Dempsey was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Brann McNamara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Colwell in the 30th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Drumkeerin's Gerard Colwell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brann McNamara. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. Donall Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bard McFrancise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ballydivin's Art Silke got a free kick in the 39th minute. When Drumkeerin's Gerard Colwell in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballydivin's goalie prevented a goal. Art Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donall Dempsey having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard Colwell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Drumkeerin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilian McNamara to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Colwell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brann McNamara having to make a save. In the 57th minute Gerard Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brann McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breen Johnson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Donall Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballydivin. In the 63rd minute, Breen Johnson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 played minutes Ballydivin got a freekick which was hit by Braedon McStephen. In the 73rd minute, Bard McFrancise fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Bard McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comhghall Dillon got free with Donall Dempsey in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donall Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bard McFrancise in the 81st minute of the match. Donall Dempsey made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Comhghall Dillon sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Gerard Colwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Comhghall Dillon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Donall Dempsey made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Ballydivin's Donall Dempsey threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bard McFrancise, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Donall Dempsey was a little too slow when Comhghall Dillon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-2. Ballydivin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
