Bellafarney Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to Ballygorteen Utd getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Berchan Coyle hit a great ball. If Brogan Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Berchan Coyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballygorteen Utd and the Bellafarney Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Ballygorteen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berchan Coyle to maneuver through the defense. Berchan Coyle was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Ballygorteen Utd's Berchan Coyle got a free kick in the 47th minute. Brogan Molloy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Joseph Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brogan Molloy made a kick off. When Baird McBrand came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ballygorteen Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baird McBrand couldn't finish the play. Joseph Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brakawn Duggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ballygorteen Utd's Baird McBrand got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Patrick Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Patrick Branson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 played minutes Bellafarney Utd got a freekick which was hit by Donavan Mulvihill. When Baird McBrand came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ballygorteen Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baird McBrand couldn't finish the play. Baird McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute Brakawn Duggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Patrick Branson came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ballygorteen Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Branson couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Patrick Branson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
