Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ryan McJames kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan McJames got free with Donall Dempsey in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Garrycullen were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Drumkeerin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raonall Coyle took the corner. Raonall Coyle made a great header on Garrycullen's corner, it was just that Drumkeerin's Donall Dempsey managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Gerard Colwell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herygh Johnson was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Herygh Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barhan Tierney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ryan McJames came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Garrycullen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan McJames couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Raonall Coyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerard Colwell might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herygh Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerard Colwell ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Ryan McJames's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donall Dempsey was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerard Colwell made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Comhghall Brennan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drumkeerin and the Garrycullen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Comhghall Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryan McJames hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Raonall Coyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donall Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan McJames in the 70th minute of play. Ryan McJames's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donall Dempsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The throw-in from Lewis Molloy in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Garrycullen's Theodore Dillon. If Ryan McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
