Beale McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Gilbert McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harrington Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Glen Crowe having to interfere. Brazil Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fionntán Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gilbert McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harrington Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darby Lester charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darby Lester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Bogare got a freekick which was hit by Darby Lester. 30 minutes into the game, Bourns McWill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bogare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferrybank Utd the free kick. After 30 played minutes Bogare got a freekick which was hit by Bourns McWill. Harrington Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Glen Crowe having to interfere. A collision led to Bogare getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Darby Lester hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Bogare's goal looked a bit too open when Brazil Dunne came free, but Rowan Glen Crowe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Fionntán Dillon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert McGlenn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Gough during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Roland Gough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harrington Kirby's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Rowan Glen Crowe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fionntán Dillon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert McGlenn having to make a save. In the 45th match minute, Bogare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Séamus McCready to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute Ferrybank Utd were awarded a corner. Rollin Lester went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ferrybank Utd's Rollin Lester to fire away a dangerous shot which Rowan Glen Crowe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beale McCollion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferrybank Utd's goalkeeper Gilbert McGlenn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brazil Dunne in the 55th minute of play forced Bogare's goalkeeper Rowan Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harrington Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Glen Crowe having to interfere. In the 61st minute Harrington Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowan Glen Crowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rowan Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brazil Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Darby Lester had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert McGlenn. Ferrybank Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darby Lester was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The long shot by Séamus McCready in the 82nd minute really tested Gilbert McGlenn's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience was convinced that Beale McCollion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert McGlenn was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Conleth Ramsey sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gilbert McGlenn threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Conleth Ramsey this time. Fionntán Dillon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Gilbert McGlenn made a huge save. Bartley Dunne hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 101st minute, Fionntán Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bogare's supporters rose to their feet, but Fionntán Dillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert McGlenn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferrybank Utd's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
