After 5 played minutes Badyke got a freekick which was hit by Brennen Murphy . Breasal McJohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boethis Doyle having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Breasal McJohn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boethis Doyle was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Don McDecland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Seosamh McGlynn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleary McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cleary McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nutgrove AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleary McWilliam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seosamh McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleary McWilliam in the 36th minute of play forced Badyke's goalkeeper Seosamh McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seosamh McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleary McWilliam in the 39th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Nutgrove AFC's goalkeeper Boethis Doyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryley McBjarton. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleary McWilliam was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Cleary McWilliam lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Seosamh McGlynn. Badyke's Seosamh McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleary McWilliam in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Isaac Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71stth minute of the game Cleary McWilliam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badyke's Seosamh McGlynn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Seosamh McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rowley McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. From a short distance, Nutgrove AFC's Rowley McDonald, in the 75th minute, tried to place the ball behind Seosamh McGlynn, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. When Nutgrove AFC's Rowley McDonald in 75 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Seosamh McGlynn guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Badyke getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Isaac Brennan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Badyke's zone, Don McDecland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seosamh McGlynn came out of the goal and Don McDecland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breasal McJohn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleary McWilliam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Seosamh McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryley McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Don McDecland scored 2-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seosamh McGlynn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boethis Doyle came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Badyke's Isaac Brennan . But to his dismay, Isaac Brennan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
