Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Shea McFrank made the kick off which started today's match. Easky's Branson Hunt got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pauric McNamee hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Paul McPeter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fachtna Coyle skillfully saved the ball. In the 17th minute Don McDecland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fachtna Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fachtna Coyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berrigan Murphy's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Rowley McDonald charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rowley McDonald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Nutgrove AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rowley McDonald. Branson Hunt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boethis Doyle having to make a save. In the 32nd minute Berrigan Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fachtna Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berrigan Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fachtna Coyle came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Nutgrove AFC's Don McDecland. But to his dismay, Don McDecland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 45 minutes, Don McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nutgrove AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don McDecland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fachtna Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don McDecland, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don McDecland made a kick off. Nutgrove AFC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Easky's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paul McPeter took the corner. After 61 minutes, Boyne Gollogley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Easky and the Nutgrove AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Easky got a freekick which was hit by Boyne Gollogley . Berrigan Murphy got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 62nd minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. Don McDecland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fachtna Coyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Fachtna Coyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don McDecland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Berrigan Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Nutgrove AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berrigan Murphy couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Don McDecland in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fachtna Coyle saved Easky from getting behind. The supporters of Nutgrove AFC booed when Easky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brannon Hutton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Easky's Fachtna Coyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Easky from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Berrigan Murphy made a precise shot to the right of Fachtna Coyle. Easky's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Berrigan Murphy might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fachtna Coyle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berrigan Murphy ran back to his position shaking his head. Bairee Gallagher kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Don McDecland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fachtna Coyle was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Nutgrove AFC played a much better game than Easky and deserved their victory. The Easky players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
