Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ultan Beckett took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Reidy Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frevanagh FC's Mack Jameson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Frevanagh FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Frevanagh FC's Donoghue Gough got a free kick in the 6th minute. Reidy Crowe hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Harrington Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mack Jameson having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Frevanagh FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donoghue Gough to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Breslin Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rollin Lester was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Frevanagh FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lochlainn Caffrey came free, but Mack Jameson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mack Jameson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brazil Dunne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frevanagh FC's Pauric McDonald managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bartley Dunne in the 39 minute of the game. Ferrybank Utd's Lochlainn Caffrey got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brazil Dunne was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ferrybank Utd booed when Frevanagh FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pauric McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ultan Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Frevanagh FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lochlainn Caffrey came free, but Mack Jameson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mack Jameson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harrington Kirby in the 68th minute of play. Frevanagh FC's Mack Jameson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brazil Dunne in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Frevanagh FC got a freekick which was hit by Pauric McDonald. Frevanagh FC's attentive Pauric McDonald managed to snatch the ball when Bartley Dunne made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. In the 79th minute Roland Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mack Jameson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ultan Beckett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frevanagh FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ultan Beckett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert McGlenn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Ultan Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mack Jameson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 96 minutes of play, Ferrybank Utd's Lochlainn Caffrey made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mack Jameson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferrybank Utd's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
