After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Peter Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Dillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casey Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aban Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Drumlish's Paud McPaul got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paud McPaul during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paud McPaul hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Drumlish's zone, Peter Dillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casey Lester came out of the goal and Peter Dillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casey Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigan Tierney in the 90th minute of the match. Paud McPaul hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 98 minutes, Peter Dillon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roo FC and the Drumlish players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roo FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
