A collision led to Kilcronan FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Healy Molloy hit a great ball. Aengus Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Emmet Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aengus Callaghan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmet Palmer having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Harvey McGlynn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballymagan Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilcronan FC the free kick. Garrett Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ballymagan Utd's Irving MaCollin got a free kick in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Kilcronan FC's Pearce McJohnny broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brannagh Rogers in the 28th minute of play forced Ballymagan Utd's goalkeeper Emmet Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brannagh Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmet Palmer having to interfere. Emmet Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannagh Rogers in the 32nd minute of play. Harry Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harvey McGlynn, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 39th match minute, Kilcronan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davie McSteve to maneuver through the defense. Harry Costello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey McGlynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brannagh Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Emmet Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brannagh Rogers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ballymagan Utd got a freekick which was hit by Irving MaCollin. Kilcronan FC's Harry Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon McGlenn in the 56th minute of play. If Aengus Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Ballymagan Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aengus Callaghan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Emmet Palmer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Harry Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon McGlenn, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The supporters of Kilcronan FC booed when Ballymagan Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curran McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmet Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brannagh Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Aengus Callaghan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmet Palmer having to interfere. If Harvey McGlynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aengus Callaghan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Brannagh Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilcronan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brannagh Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emmet Palmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Brannagh Rogers fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Brannagh Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute Brannagh Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emmet Palmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Brannagh Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilcronan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brannagh Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emmet Palmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Kilcronan FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ballymagan Utd throughout the match.
