Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brannagh Rogers took the kick off in the first half of the match. Harry Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baydan McCollion in the 6th minute of play. Quaid McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aengus Callaghan, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Kilcronan FC booed when Gormanstown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piers Ryan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gormanstown AFC's Quaid McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aengus Callaghan in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gormanstown AFC's zone, Brannagh Rogers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quaid McJon came out of the goal and Brannagh Rogers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Brannagh Rogers came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Kilcronan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brannagh Rogers couldn't finish the play. Baydan McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baydan McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Harry Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brannagh Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bel Todd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gormanstown AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bel Todd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Costello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Healy Molloy during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Healy Molloy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 played minutes, Gormanstown AFC's Baydan McCollion shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Harry Costello came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gormanstown AFC reached it. Quaid McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brannagh Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baydan McCollion to make the kick off. Aengus Callaghan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Quaid McJon made a huge save. Bel Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Costello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braedon Savic went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ryleigh Scully struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Quaid McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilcronan FC. If Piers Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bel Todd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braedon Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Costello having to interfere. Bel Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garrett Hamilton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Quaid McJon made a huge save. After having played for 86 minutes, Braedon Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gormanstown AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braedon Savic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Baydan McCollion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Costello was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Quaid McJon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannagh Rogers in the 89th minute of play. If Aengus Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Costello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baydan McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Gormanstown AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
