Bardan McSteven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Dillon in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Peter Dillon made a precise shot to the right of Bardan McSteven. Ballinwillin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rigan Tierney struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Bardan McSteven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roo FC. If Rigan Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Dillon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Bardan McSteven made a huge save. After having played for 36 minutes, Peter Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an all-out effort, Roo FC's Bardan McSteven threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rigan Tierney, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rigan Tierney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bardan McSteven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigan Tierney in the 45th minute of play forced Ballinwillin's goalkeeper Bardan McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinwillin's zone, Peter Dillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bardan McSteven came out of the goal and Peter Dillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rigan Tierney made the kick off in the second half. Ballinwillin's Bardan McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigan Tierney in the 51st minute of play. If Rigan Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Peter Dillon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bardan McSteven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bard Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reidy Glen Crowe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Donn Savic firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ballinwillin's Bardan McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigan Tierney in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Roo FC's goalkeeper Donn Savic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bard Palmer. Donn Savic made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Bard Palmer sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Ballinwillin getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pearson Hutton hit a great ball. Roo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
