The supporters of Kilronan booed when Ballaghkeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gearard McMichel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dugan McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Britain Murphy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bow Colwell. The goal made the score 2-0. Blanaid Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kilronan getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Patraic Caffrey hit a great ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Dugan McDonald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballaghkeen's Kevinn McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dugan McDonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevinn McLian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Brenan Caffrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Britain Murphy could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Bow Colwell however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Kilronan getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Joshua Grant hit a great ball. Ballaghkeen's Bradner McFrancise shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bow Colwell but with some difficulty. Bow Colwell made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Britain Murphy sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dugan McDonald was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Dugan McDonald lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Kevinn McLian. Britain Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bow Colwell having to interfere. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Dugan McDonald sped through Ballaghkeen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kevinn McLian. After a defensive mix-up in Ballaghkeen's zone, Brenan Caffrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevinn McLian came out of the goal and Brenan Caffrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blanaid Dimson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Kevinn McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilronan. Dugan McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blanaid Dimson struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Kevinn McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilronan. If Dugan McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Brenan Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilronan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brenan Caffrey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kilronan were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
