In the 19th minute, Beartlai Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beartlai Ghee's late challenge caught a Licketstown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beartlai Ghee helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Falprobog Utd got a freekick which was hit by Beartlai Ghee. Licketstown's Bel McAaron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Licketstown from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Licketstown's Bel McAaron got control of the ball when Seoirse Rutherford tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, Beartlai Ghee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Louie Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Licketstown's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Johnson came free, but Bel McAaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Falprobog Utd's Beartlai Ghee ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bel McAaron. Bel McAaron yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Licketstown's Bel McAaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seoirse Rutherford in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Licketstown's goal looked a bit too open when Beartlai Ghee came free, but Bel McAaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Seoirse Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bel McAaron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes Licketstown got a freekick which was hit by Keelin Dimson. When Seoirse Rutherford came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Falprobog Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seoirse Rutherford couldn't finish the play. Bel McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beartlai Ghee, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience was convinced that Beartlai Ghee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bel McAaron was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Bel McAaron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seoirse Rutherford in the 72nd minute of play. Seoirse Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keelin Dimson during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Keelin Dimson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beartlai Ghee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bel McAaron having to interfere. A collision led to Licketstown getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Coran Savic hit a great ball. Bel McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seoirse Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the Licketstown defense, Seoirse Rutherford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bel McAaron. The Licketstown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bel McAaron should have stopped the shot. Beartlai Ghee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bel McAaron having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Seoirse Rutherford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Falprobog Utd players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
