Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kilronan's Dugan McDonald started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Bow McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rockmills's supporters rose to their feet, but Bow McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bow Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 5 played minutes Rockmills got a freekick which was hit by Dennis McCready. In the 8th minute of the match Torran Palmer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bodibeua Glen Crowe skillfully saved the ball. In the 15th minute Edward Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bow Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis McCready hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Rockmills's Bodibeua Glen Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenan Caffrey in the 24th minute of play. Bodibeua Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blanaid Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Kilronan's Blanaid Dimson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bodibeua Glen Crowe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 39 minutes of play, Kilronan's Brenan Caffrey made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bodibeua Glen Crowe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bodibeua Glen Crowe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brenan Caffrey went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Rockmills booed when Kilronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanaid Dimson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Rockmills defense, Brenan Caffrey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bodibeua Glen Crowe. The Rockmills fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bodibeua Glen Crowe should have stopped the shot. Bow Colwell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bow McJames's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Bodibeua Glen Crowe made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Dugan McDonald sent off a good shot on target. Bodibeua Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blanaid Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Donegan Duggan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bow Colwell having to interfere. Edward Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kilronan's zone, Bow McJames stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bow Colwell came out of the goal and Bow McJames tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
