Bin McLaughlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blanaid Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Shea Doherty made the kick off in the second half. Bin McLaughlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dugan McDonald in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Tipraite McCollion made a precise shot to the right of Bow Colwell. Kilronan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Cronery booed when Kilronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patraic Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aodh McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cronery's supporters rose to their feet, but Aodh McSteve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bow Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Kilronan's goal looked a bit too open when Shea Doherty came free, but Bow Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dugan McDonald in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bin McLaughlin saved Cronery from getting behind. Dugan McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bin McLaughlin having to interfere. Dugan McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bin McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
