The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Turlough Morrison to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Britain Murphy got free with Gaynor Bayes in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Britain Murphy in the 72nd minute of play forced Crossna's goalkeeper Gaynor Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Conn Martyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevinn McLian was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Ballaghkeen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
