Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomás Callaghan made the kick off which started today's match. Aubrey Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barney McWilliam, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Daron Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Meenawogary FC booed when Ballysheeda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sheridan McNamara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barney McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Callaghan in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aubrey Dempsey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sheridan McNamara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boyle Hunt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Meenawogary FC's Boyle Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sheridan McNamara in the 29th minute of play. Bivadi Ferguson hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, Meenawogary FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Booak Todd to maneuver through the defense. Ballysheeda's Barran Hamilton shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Boyle Hunt but with some difficulty. Bivadi Ferguson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Barran Hamilton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Meenawogary FC's Boyle Hunt didn't even have to move. A hard shot 39 in the game by Daron Doyle from a close distance when the talented Boyle Hunt managed to make a qualified save. Meenawogary FC's players were relieved. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sheridan McNamara to strike the kick off in the second half. Daron Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute of the match Ballysheeda got a corner. Meenawogary FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barran Hamilton ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ballysheeda's corner Barran Hamilton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boyle Hunt quite easily take care of the ball. With an all-out effort, Meenawogary FC's Aubrey Dempsey threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Callaghan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tomás Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aubrey Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Binne Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyle Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aubrey Dempsey was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Lawrence McNamee capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lawrence McNamee really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Daron Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Boyle Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sheridan McNamara might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boyle Hunt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sheridan McNamara ran back to his position shaking his head. Sheridan McNamara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boyle Hunt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Daron Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballysheeda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daron Doyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daron Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyle Hunt having to interfere. The Ballysheeda supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Meenawogary FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Meenawogary FC.
