Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brannon McLaughlin started the match with the kick off. Tiomoid Gillmour charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiomoid Gillmour the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiomoid Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Torna Doyle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Barley Hutton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Colmcille McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Tiomoid Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Hewney Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tiomoid Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Herygh Ghee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hewney Palmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Herygh Ghee came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cahersherkin Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herygh Ghee couldn't finish the play. After 36 minutes of play, Tullagh's Torna Doyle made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barley Hutton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tullagh's Brannon McLaughlin got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boyne McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Torna Doyle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barley Hutton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiomoid Gillmour made a kick off. Brannon McLaughlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barley Hutton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brannon McLaughlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Bourns McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brannon McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Herygh Ghee could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Hewney Palmer made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Cahersherkin Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Brannon McLaughlin came free, but Barley Hutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hewney Palmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herygh Ghee in the 77th minute. Torna Doyle struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Barley Hutton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tullagh. Brannon McLaughlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Barley Hutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barley Hutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torna Doyle in the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tullagh's zone, Herygh Ghee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hewney Palmer came out of the goal and Herygh Ghee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiomoid Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Hewney Palmer throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tiomoid Gillmour in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cahersherkin Utd players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tullagh.
