Barley Hutton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Santa Cavia in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barley Hutton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 25th minute, Santa Cavia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Platoon Column fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Santa Cavia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Barley Hutton made a huge save. Barley Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iturri Romero in the 34th minute of play. Briain Hunt came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Cahersherkin Utd's Herygh Ghee . But to his dismay, Herygh Ghee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Cahersherkin Utd's Barley Hutton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Cahersherkin Utd from getting a goal against them. Santa Cavia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barley Hutton having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santa Cavia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paud Mulvihill in the 52nd minute of play forced Cahersherkin Utd's goalkeeper Barley Hutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cahersherkin Utd's Barley Hutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santa Cavia in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Santa Cavia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barley Hutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barley Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iturri Romero in the 56th minute of play. Santa Cavia took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barley Hutton. Barley Hutton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 61 minutes into the game, Blavock McDonald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Barley Hutton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cahersherkin Utd's goalkeeper Barley Hutton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paud Mulvihill in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barley Hutton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, Platoon Column's Santa Cavia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barley Hutton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Samueil Holt fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cahersherkin Utd's protests and gave Samueil Holt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cahersherkin Utd getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Platoon Column's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Tiomoid Gillmour scored to the left of an out of position Briain Hunt, making the score, 5-2. 92 minutes into the match, Cahersherkin Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Cáirbre Delaney came free, but Barley Hutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Santa Cavia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Platoon Column's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santa Cavia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barley Hutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santa Cavia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
