The referee ignored Cloonbannin's protests and gave Seoirse Prunty a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cloonbannin getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Seoirse Prunty hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blavock McDonald got free with Aubrey John in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 8 minutes of play Cloonbannin's Seoirse Prunty was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 8th match minute, Cloonbannin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seoirse Prunty to maneuver through the defense. David McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Platoon Column's zone, David McBjarton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Briain Hunt came out of the goal and David McBjarton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blavock McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aubrey John having to interfere. Paud Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aubrey John having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Blavock McDonald made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cloonbannin's Aubrey John tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Santa Cavia made a precise shot to the right of Aubrey John. Cloonbannin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Iturri Romero fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Platoon Column's protests and gave Iturri Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Platoon Column got a freekick which was hit by Iturri Romero. Conan McLaughlin kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Santa Cavia succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Aubrey John came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Platoon Column's Santa Cavia. But to his dismay, Santa Cavia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David McBjarton made a kick off. After 53 minutes Platoon Column's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Buach Perth who took care of the corner kick. After 57 played minutes Cloonbannin got a freekick which was hit by David McBjarton. If Santa Cavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darragh Costello hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Paud Mulvihill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Platoon Column's supporters rose to their feet, but Paud Mulvihill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aubrey John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute Santa Cavia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Santa Cavia notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Cloonbannin's Aubrey John. Aubrey John was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aubrey John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santa Cavia, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If David McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 81 minutes, David McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloonbannin's supporters crossed their fingers, but David McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Blavock McDonald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aubrey John was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. A collision led to Cloonbannin getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Beglan Ferguson hit a great ball. After 91 minutes Cloonbannin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paud Mulvihill who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Paud Mulvihill got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aubrey John quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cloonbannin players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Platoon Column.
