When Listicall AFC's Timmons McJon, in the 4th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Listicall AFC. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tullagh fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Reilly Molloy placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 16th minute Gerard Prunty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hewney Palmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brant Bayes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 22 minutes of play, Tullagh's Torna Doyle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conaill O'Down was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmons McJon in the 25th minute of play forced Tullagh's goalkeeper Hewney Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quirk Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hewney Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Tullagh were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torna Doyle to strike the kick off in the second half. Quirk Kirby took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hewney Palmer. Hewney Palmer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Timmons McJon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hewney Palmer having to interfere. Brant Bayes struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Conaill O'Down didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tullagh. 68 minutes into the match, Tullagh's goal looked a bit too open when Quirk Kirby came free, but Hewney Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quirk Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Timmons McJon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brant Bayes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Torna Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tullagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torna Doyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Quirk Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Listicall AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Quirk Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hewney Palmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torna Doyle got free with Conaill O'Down in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Darragh Ramsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tullagh's Torna Doyle got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tullagh eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
