Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Irwin McFrank kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Killbarly's zone, Raonall Rutherford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aengus McPeter came out of the goal and Raonall Rutherford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Raonall Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Killbarly's goal looked a bit too open when Timmons Jameson came free, but Aengus McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barde McNamara made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gaynor McBrandon sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Críostóir McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barde McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irwin McFrank recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Killbarly's goal looked a bit too open when Raonall Rutherford came free, but Aengus McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Castlejordan's Timmons Jameson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aengus McPeter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Timmons Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castlejordan's Barde McNamara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irwin McFrank in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaynor McBrandon got free with Barde McNamara in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 36 minutes, Raonall Rutherford made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Killbarly's Aengus McPeter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Killbarly's Irwin McFrank in the 44th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Barde McNamara was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Castlejordan through an amazing save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timmons Jameson was the one to do the kick off. Aengus McPeter didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Aengus McPeter was a little too slow when Timmons Jameson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmons Jameson in the 67th minute of play forced Killbarly's goalkeeper Aengus McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Castlejordan's goal looked a bit too open when Gaynor McBrandon came free, but Barde McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryon McAaron kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Aengus McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raonall Rutherford in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Castlejordan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quirk McWill to maneuver through the defense. Timmons Jameson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Timmons Jameson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aengus McPeter. The goal made the score 0-5. After a rather tough play, Castlejordan's Bodibeua McBrandon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Killbarly's Gaynor McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barde McNamara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timmons Jameson in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aengus McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raonall Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Aengus McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th play minute Raonall Rutherford came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aengus McPeter. 1-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Castlejordan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
