Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Keegan McSteve got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Keegan McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theobald Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corlee's Harrigan McCready suffered a sore foot after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 6 minutes into the game, Caroll Grant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinasloe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corlee the free kick. The supporters of Corlee booed when Ballinasloe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caroll Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bercan McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Caroll Grant was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 9 minutes had been played. Donall Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Theobald Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braden Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 22 played minutes Ballinasloe FC got a freekick which was hit by Braden Ryan. In the 24th minute, Keegan McSteve left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corlee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Keegan McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Theobald Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Ballinasloe FC's Adamnan Coyle made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bil Martyn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute Barra Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bil Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Corlee's goalkeeper Bil Martyn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adamnan Coyle. When Corlee's Keegan McSteve in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballinasloe FC's goalie prevented a goal. 43 minutes into the game, Bergin Savic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corlee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballinasloe FC the free kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Braden Ryan to strike the kick off in the second half. Bil Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braden Ryan in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes Corlee got a freekick which was hit by Pierson Duggan. In the 65th match minute, Corlee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keegan McSteve to maneuver through the defense. Theobald Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keegan McSteve in the 70th minute of play. Edwin Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theobald Martyn having to interfere. If Keegan McSteve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 90th minute of the game was made by Rordan McPaul with Adamnan Coyle as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 92 minutes into the game, Ballinasloe FC's Adamnan Coyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bil Martyn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Corlee's zone, Braden Ryan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bil Martyn came out of the goal and Braden Ryan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adamnan Coyle in the 96th minute of play forced Corlee's goalkeeper Bil Martyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
